The ATO has issued a draft legislative determination which proposes to set the cents per kilometre rate for calculating for the income year commencing 1 July 2018.
From 1 July 2018, all employees paid under a modern award or paid the national minimum wage will be entitled to a pay increase.
The national minimum wage will increase to $719.20 per week (or $18.93 per hour). The weekly rate is based on a 38 hour week for a full-time employee.
